Westfield Police Vehicles Sport Special Decal

The Westfield men and women in blue are displaying a Blue Devil decal on their police vehicles after Acting Chief of Police Christopher Battiloro recently struck a friendly bargain with Sandra Mamary, supervisor of athletics at Westfield High School.

WHS English Teacher Attends National Gallery of Art Teacher Institute

Westfield High School English teacher Steven Cohn was among 55 educators selected to attend the 2018 National Gallery of Art Teacher Institute on Storytelling and the Visual Arts held in Washington, D.C. in July. The six-day seminar brought together K-12 teachers from across the country to explore the connection of storytelling to learning and the ways teachers can use art objects with storytelling activities in the classroom.

WHS Announces MP4 Honor Roll for 2017-2018

Westfield High School recognizes student achievement every marking period at two levels – Honor Roll and Distinguished Honor Roll. For the Distinguished Honor Roll, a student’s GPA must be between 3.75 and 4.0 with no grade lower than a B. For the Honor Roll, the GPA must be between 3.5 and 3.74 with no grade lower than a B.

WHS Wind Ensemble to Perform at National Concert Band Festival

The Westfield High School Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform at the 2019 National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis next March, as part of the Music for All National Festival which organizers say “celebrates outstanding music-making by the nation’s finest high school and middle school scholastic ensembles.”

STEM Camp Celebrates 6th Successful Year

Whether building solar ovens, sewing circuits into fabric to create e-textiles or designing and programming robots, the Westfield Public School District’s STEM camp combined project-based learning, ingenuity and fun for a sixth summer.
