Westfield High School has received official designation as a “No Place for Hate” school by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), a recognition of its "thoughtfulness, commitment and intention" to promote respect and speak out against prejudice and discrimination.

To celebrate New Jersey Law Day, Westfield High School social studies teacher Kimberly Leegan coordinated a virtual program for students in Introduction to Law, Mock Trial, and AP Government and Politics classes.

Philhower Fellow

Jeanine Gottko, who taught first and fifth grade at Franklin Elementary School in Westfield before working with both students and teachers in the district as a master technology teacher, is the 2020 recipient of the Rotary Club of Westfield’s Philhower Fellowship in recognition of outstanding teaching at the elementary school level.
